家庭自制安全Play Dough

鉴于斗斗的过敏问题,斗娘一直致力于找到一种斗斗不过敏的play dough。昨天打了一大通电话问商家,勉强找到school supply上提供一种貌似很安全的play dough。斗娘准备找个合适的机会跟preschool的directer谈谈,看看他们是不是可以购买这种。

不过斗娘还是不放心,于是继续放狗,找到了几个家庭自制play dough的秘方,抄录如下:

秘方1:Here is the recipie:
Ingredients:
2 c. cornstarch
1 c. salt
1 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 tbsp of vegetable oil

Mix and cook over low heat until mixture leaves edge of pan. Knead until smooth. Store in plastic bag or container at room temperature. I added food coloring and kneaded it in while the dough was still warm. I did wear gloves so I did not dye my hands green. Next time I am going to try adding it to the water fiirst.

Allergy-Free Craft Recipe:
Rice Play Dough
A wheat-free, gluten-free alternative for kids with wheat allergy or gluten allergy.

Ingredients  
1 1/4  cups  rice flour
1/2  cup  salt
2  tsp  cream of tartar
1  cup  water
1  Tbsp  oil
1/4  tsp  vanilla extract
    food coloring or sparkles (optional)
Instructions
Mix flour, salt, and cream of tartar in a large pot. Add water and oil.

Cook over medium heat until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan (about 5 minutes), stirring constantly.

Add vanilla extract (for smell, not taste). Mix thoroughly. Put play dough on a clean surface. When cool enough to handle, knead lightly.

Store in airtight container.

Add food coloring to the water to make colored play dough. Add sparkles during the handmixing time for sparkly play dough.

秘方三:Wheat Free Play Dough

Things You'll Need:
1 Cup White Rice Flour
1 Cup Salt
1 Cup Corn Starch
4 Teaspoons Cream of Tartar
2 Teaspoons Canola Oil
2 Cups Water
Optional -Food Coloring, Glitter, Essential Oil

1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Combine liquids in a heavy sauce pan.

2. Place pan on the stove top on medium-low head. As the liquid begins to heat, not simmer, add the dry ingredients.

3. Stir constantly until mixture begins to pull away from the sides of the pan and forms a ball.

4. Remove from pan and cool completely on a clean surface.

5.Knead dough until smooth and not sticky. Store in air tight container or plastic bag.
